SEALS

Applications: air/hydraulic sealing. On one hand, key features include geometry (these sets can be symmetric or asymmetric), and on the other hand, they include the form and the manner in which the lips make the sealing. While symmetrical seals can be used for sealing the piston/cylinder and the piston rod seal, the asymmetric ones are used only for the latter. Their functioning is based on the fact that the lips are pressed against the sealing surface, providing a linear force along
the circumference.
